What is 25/250?

The 25/250 Celebration is a once-in-a-lifetime community commemoration of the heroes of September 11, 2001 and the birthday of the United States of America.

Teeming with the spirit of the American volunteer, Somerset County, Pennsylvania will be marking this momentous year with a series of events highlighting the citizen soldier—the volunteer—who has made America the best country in the world.

We invite you to celebrate this spirit and our history and to remember and rekindle the motivating force of selflessness and giving that lives within us all.

And while you are here, enjoy the many amenities of The Laurel Highlands in Pennsylvania, including the Flight 93 National Memorial, the site of the Quecreek mine rescue, Jennerstown Speedway, Seven Springs and Hidden Valley resorts, Ohiopyle State Park, our scenic hiking and biking trails, and the many quaint shops and restaurants that energize our region.
