You are cordially invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the PA Fallen Firefighters Foundation Memorial.
This ceremony is expected to last approximately 1 hour and will include remarks from invited officials, fire service representatives and community leaders. There will also be music, presentation of colors and the official groundbreaking.
PARKING: All attendees are advised to park at Camp Allegheny (100 Camp Allegheny Drive, Stoystown, PA 15563). There will be shuttle service beginning around 9:00 AM and will take attendees to and from the groundbreaking.

Alcoholic beverages sold by Somerset Regional Volunteer Fire Department and Forbes Trail Brewing (Proceeds benefit SRVFD)Fun activities will include a dunk tank and tropical bounce house! Special guest appearance by Brett Keisel, former Pittsburgh Steeler, to honor our servicemen and women.
A special 9/11 exhibit, "Reflections of the Human Spirit", will be on display at Laurel Arts for guests to visit while at the concert.
This event is made possible by Laurel Arts and the Somerset Regional Volunteer Fire Department.

The Western PA Firemen’s Convention takes from from August 6-9 with events that are fireman invite only and open to the public.

Stoystown, PA, 15563Participating fire companies will process from the borough of Somerset to the Flight 93 National Memorial. Procession route includes departing the Somerset Regional Fire Department at 5:30 PM, processing out 281 to Route 30 and concluding at the Flight 93 National Memorial. A flag service honoring firefighters will be held.

Join the Somerset Historical Center on Friday, August 7th for a full day of activities.
10 AM -4 PM: Museum Exhibit: Somerset County Called to Action
2 PM - 7 PM: Bank Heist Escape Room
2 PM - 8 PM: Carnival games & Kid’s Activities
2 PM - 9 PM: Obstacle Course and Bounce House
3 PM - 6 PM: Living Treasures will be onsite with live animals
From 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM, is a special 25/250 edition of First Friday's at the Somerset Historical Center. Some covered seating is provided, but guests may feel free to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, parking and admission are FREE for this event.
Featuring music by Hickory Bottom Bluegrass Band and John Larimer.
Food available for purchase from Rosalinda Express, Stempora Catering and Concessions, and the Somerset Historical Society Concessions starting at 2pm.

The parade features sixteen bands including local and military bands, fire apparatuses from surrounding towns and counties, steam engines, local floats, dancers, baton twirlers, and more. It’s a parade that will be remembered in Somerset County for years to come. The parade will journey on W. Main St. and finish at the high school.
